Rheumatoid Arthiritis Diet

Persons who are suffered from any type of arthritis can eat a health, well balanced diet. A health diet include fresh fruits, fresh fruits juices, plenty of vegetables, sugar, fat and salt, and whole-grain products. The recommended quantity of minerals and vitamins is also main part of a well-balanced diet.

Seafood diet is very effective to prevent and cures of rheumatoid arthritis. People are taking seafood diet regularly, never suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. If someone has suffered from arthritis, he/she will be rid of the disease by taking seafood diet regularly up to three months.

Dietary advice

It is necessary to change the fat in the diet, in case of an effective management of the disease. Omega-3 fatty acids have increased popularity in this management and it is very useful in the inflammatory pathway of the human body.

People should take it in the form of daily diet instead of tablet. The following foods are rich in omega-3:

  • Salmon oil
  • Soybeans
  • Walnuts
  • Fresh avocado
  • Canola oil
  • Soybean oil
  • Walnut oil
  • Avocado oil

People must increase the daily intake of steamed or raw foods like whole grains, rice, fish, vegetables and chicken.

Foods to avoid

Various foods can precipitate flare-ups, preferably cut out of the diet or aggravate rheumatoid arthritis. Do not eat foods that may be the cause of the rheumatoid arthritis. Someone who has rheumatoid arthritis, avoid foods that contribute arachidonic acid. Foods that should be avoided:

  • Nightshade foods (potato, tomato, tobacco and peppers)
  • Dairy
  • Tea
  • Refined wheat
  • Salts
  • Alcohol
  • Berries
  • Coffee
  • Saturated fat
  • Grilled and fried foods
  • Processed foods

Fasting

Fasting is very beneficial for patients with rheumatoid arthritis. It may help to decrease the absorption of allergenic food components. Fasting may have an effect on the immune system.
