General Arthritis Causes
About 70 million people in the United States are suffering from arthritis and joint inflammation. It is a rheumatic disease in which there is inflammation and loss of function of one or more joints resulting into pain, redness, swelling and burning in the affected areas. This disease mainly affects ligaments, tendons, joints, bone and muscles etc. This disease occurs at the age of 44 in older adults. There are various types of arthritis. The most common of them are juvenile and rheumatic arthritis which are found in children. According to Centers for Disease Control andPrevention, women have 37.3 percent of arthritis than men.
The main cause for general arthritis is the poor blood circulation which is flowing in every human body. According to Ayurveda, an artery system regulates and controls the functions of nervous system and the poor functioning of the artery system can damage the nervous system. If the nervous system becomes aggravated and overactive then it causes dryness in the joints. In this condition, the synovial mucous membrane which acts as a lubricating substance of the joints becomes inactive. This is the main reason the people are affecting with general arthritis making the joints weak.
The cause for various types of arthritis is not known. Mainly general arthritis is caused by the genetic factor and the disorder of immune system. The exact cause of arthritis is not known till now by the researchers. There can be other causes also which increases the chances for developing general arthritis are:-
- Gender – General arthritis mostly occur in women than in men.
- Age – The chances for developing arthritis increase with the age.
- Work factors – Some work needs heavy lifting and repetitive movements which can cause pain in the joints and it can also stress the joints or sometimes an injury can be caused. As a result, arthritis is caused.
- Obesity – Being overweight can be the cause for arthritis as it can wear and tear the joints and sometimes put an extra stress on the joints.
So, arthritis is a very common disease in children and adults. It affects people of all ages and this disease is more common in older adults as swelling, pain and stiffness develops very easily in the joints among older adults.
