Fibromyalgia Causes

There is no main cause of Fibromyalgia, although researchers have various theories about triggers or causes of the fibromyalgia. According to some scientists, it may be caused by trauma or an injury. The central nervous system is affected by this injury. It may be developed with changes the level in muscles metabolism like decrease in blood flow, causing decreased strength and excessive fatigue. In some cases, it may be triggered by a virus infection.

The low levels of a chemical known as serotonin may develop the fibromyalgia. Serotonin is very important for regulating sleep and controlling pain. Blood tests are used to confirm the low levels of serotonin in people with fibromyalgia. According to other scientists and researchers, this disease is associated by a lack of good sleep.

Common causes of fibromyalgia

  • Problems in immune system

The abnormalities in immune system are developed fibromyalgia. Some researchers suggest that it is the result of accumulation of toxins in the muscles from lactic acid build-up.

  • Insomnia or sleep disturbances

Many scientists and researchers suggest that people with fibromyalgia have a low level of serotonin. This low level of serotonin is also developing the central pain of the disease. The sensation of pain of fibromyalgia can be exaggerated by chronic low levels of serotonin. The low levels of serotonin are the main culprit of the sleep disturbances and insomnia in people with fibromyalgia.

  • Food allergy

In some cases, food is also the responsible for developing the fibromyalgia. Patient should take the food such as:

  • Dairy products
  • Nightshades-potatoes
  • Wheat
  • Fermented foods
  • Eggplant

  • Disturbance in brain chemistry

Sometimes, a history of clinical depression may develop the disease.

  • Physical unfit muscles
  • Infection with the Epstein-Barr virus
  • Emotional stress
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Chronic mercury poisoning
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Anemia
  • Hypothyroidism

The following factors can be made worse this disease:-

Stress
